Something about me

My name is Stefan Kraan. I am 31 years old and I live in the Netherlands. As a young child I was brought up as a catholic, but not believing in a God. Reaching the age of 16, I decided to leave the catholic church because I did not agree with many doctrines. The evolution theory fascinated me. I thought it was amazing to see how life on earth developed itself to higher levels.

In 1991 however, I was encouraged to investigate this theory. I was not aware that evolution is not a proven fact, but  remains a theory, sprung forth from the minds of people. The more I investigated evolution, the more I became convinced that the foundation for this theory is less strong than many people assume. Therefore I think it's a mistake that evolution is taught as a fact at most institutions worldwide. Teaching evolution as a fact and not encouraging people to investigate the truthfulness of this theory themselves is one of the biggest flaws of the evolutionistic movement within science.

For this reason I setup this site, with some information that can be brought in against the theory of macro-evolution which will help you to consider the possibility of intelligent design. Personally I believe in an intelligent Creator. However, I do not consider myself being a creationist, because there are many arguments that can be brought in against creationism aswell. I especially refer to the young-earth creationism here.

Although I am not a scientist myself, I am convinced that you don't have to be a scientist to investigate the truthfulness of macro-evolution. With some effort and determination you can succesfully investigate yourself. In my investigation I had some very interesting discussions with various scientists that helped me to balance my point of view. I want to be careful not to rely upon my own thoughts. True science that uses facts as a focuspoint can certainly help us to get an honest answer to the question whether the theory of macro-evolution is acceptable or not.
